Are you seeking greater insight into how to effectively guide your children? Do some of your children challenge you? Do you want to know how to avoid some of the pitfalls of parenting teenagers?
This discussion group focuses on preparing parents to successfully guide youth through some of their most challenging and defining years, while strengthening familial bonds. Through a study of gospel principles, behavioral science, and real-world experience, we will counsel together and learn how to better emulate our Heavenly Parents and become trusted guides to our children. Below is a loose outline of the topics we will be covering; however, these topics may change based on the needs of the group.
This group will meet every other week beginning the first of February. After registration, the Jackman's will contact all registrants to formalize a time and place. |
Lorin and Kolleen Jackman
The Jackman’s have recently moved to the Crystal Valley Ward, but have lived in many areas in the Denver Metro area; Wheat Ridge, Westminster, Thornton, Highlands Ranch and now Castle Rock. Lorin grew up in Lakewood and Kolleen grew up in Arvada. They have 3 grown children, Shelby, Char and Jake and now their respective spouses as well. The highlight to growing families is grandchildren and they have 4 beautiful grandchildren, which is the reason the Jackman’s travel so much to be with their grandkids. Both Lorin and Kolleen own their own businesses; Storm Guard Roofing and Construction and 4 Crumbl Cookies stores. You may have seen Lorin in the Temple as he is an Ordinance Worker on Thursday Nights. They have both served in many callings and cherish the friendships they have made along the way. They have a Love of the outdoors and adventuring with dirt biking, RZR riding, zip lining, traveling, scuba diving (Lorin) and sitting in the sun (Kolleen). They both Love God’s creations very much and are so grateful that the Lord has blessed them in so many ways to be able to enjoy their family and adventuring in His creations! |
